An Alfresco Anapamu Adventure, Sat August 13, 10:00 AM-3:00 PM

Registration is closed for this event
Help to create a new path for rainwater to take from two downspouts into a front yard that will become a place of adventure for birds, bees, and butterflies- once the natives take over. This workshop will be the beginning of the whole landscape transformation into a water wise cottage garden.

We'll redirect rainwater into two mulch basins and create berms, which together will form the foundation of the rain garden to come. Once the earthworks are done, the lawn will be sheet mulched; we'll plant in the fall. And we'll start the whole process over again- in the back yard. Join us and be part of an outdoor adventure in water wise practices.

This will be a learning through doing workshop, with additional educational points reviewed during the break and lunch. If you want to learn more about rainwater harvesting into rain gardens before the workshop, please see
